How to increase the desktop: icons, labels, icons and fonts?

It is known that visual acuity decreases from prolonged computer work. It is enough to increase the icons, shortcuts, icons and font of the desktop in a timely manner in order to strain your eyes less when searching for the necessary folder or program. Make it pretty simple.

Increase icons

Increasing all the icons, shortcuts and icons on the desktop at once is quite simple. Enough for this:

  1. Place the cursor on an empty space on the desktop;
  2. click the right mouse button;
  3. select “View”;
  4. put a dot in front of the “Large icons” line.

To manually select their size you will need:

  1. Place the cursor on an empty space on the desktop;
  2. click the right mouse button;
  3. select “View”;
  4. put a dot in front of the “Small icons” line;
  5. hold down the "Ctrl" key on the keyboard and smoothly turn the mouse wheel away from you until the size of the icons is the most suitable.

Increase font

Regardless of the size of the icons, the captions below them will remain unchanged. To make them more convenient, you have to increase the font. For this:

  1. open the Start menu;
  2. select the item "Control Panel";
  3. go to the section "Design and personalization";
  4. open the subsection "Fonts";
  5. choose in the left column the item "Change font size";
  6. put a point opposite the points "Medium" or "Large";
  7. press the button "Apply";
  8. Click the "Exit Now" button in the window that opens;
  9. log in again.
