How to open a suitcase with code
Almost all modern travel suitcases are issued with combination locks to prevent opening of a suitcase by strangers, and, consequently, to reduce the chance of theft of your property. However, having bought such a suitcase, people often face a problem: how to install the code on the suitcase, that is, change the code set by the manufacturer, and then how to open such a suitcase with the code.
Open or close the suitcase with the code
First, determine what type of lock is on your suitcase. They can be two: fixed or mounted. Depending on the type, the procedure for setting the code and opening the lock itself also differs.
Remember that the standard factory settings on all suitcases are the same, and the code corresponds to the number "000". Try to open the suitcase for the first time with this code. To do this, scroll the wheels of the code until the moment when each one of them shows “0”. After that, the lock will be removed and you will be able to open the suitcase.Next, to change the code on the suitcase, proceed according to the following instructions, depending on the type of lock.
So, if you have a fixed lock, then open the suitcase, find the lock button (usually it is located on the side wall and looks like a small depression or a lever). Then with a sharp object, press the lock button, or, if this lever, move it from position A to the desired position B (right and up). Do not release the button or lever. At the same time, enter the new numbers of the code combination by turning the dials. After that, remember the code, release the button and close the suitcase.
If you have a padlock, you can open it in the following way. Pull the metal arc and turn it, depending on the manufacturer, by 90 or 180 degrees. The lock will open. Now, to set your own code, slightly push the metal arc inwards and hold it in this position. Turn the dials to set the desired combination. Release the arc, returning it to its original position.
If you suddenly forget the code on the suitcase, opening it will be quite difficult.First, try to sort through all the possible combinations that you could set as a code. Either start slowly turning the dials and listen to the sounds: when you hear a light click, stop the disc. Do the same with all the wheels and try to open the lock. If no options work, carry a suitcase to the workshop.
