How to open a port in the torrent
All torrent clients, of course, are different, but they have the same configuration principles. To open ports through a torrent, run the program and go to the parameters section. For example, in uTorrent, for this you need to expand the “Settings” menu and select the “Program Settings” item. If your program is in English, it may be the “Settings” or “Preferences” item.
In the settings, find the section "Network" (in English programs - "Network" or "Connection"). There should be the item "Incoming ports" (in English - "Port for incoming connections").Enter the desired port number in the range of 1-65555. If there is a “Random port” option, it should be disabled.
Depending on your Internet connection, you may need to disable both UPnP and enable NAT-PMP. If the program has a check port function (“Check port”), you can use it to make sure that the selected port is open. When finished, click “OK”.
It should be borne in mind that the port for torrents should be open not only in the torrent client itself, but also in the firewall / firewall of the operating system or antivirus, and if you use a router, then in it too.
