Irish Mutton Stew

You will need
  • - 800 g of lamb;
  • - 400 g white cabbage;
  • - 4 potatoes;
  • - 2 tomatoes, 2 carrots, 2 young zucchini;
  • - 5 cloves of garlic;
  • - 2 sprigs of fresh mint;
  • - 1 onion;
  • - 2 tbsp. spoons of vegetable oil;
  • - pepper, salt.
Wash the lamb meat, cut it into small pieces. Take two young zucchini, if they are large, then one will be enough. Cut the zucchini halves or quarters. Cut the cabbage into large squares. Peel the carrots, cut into cubes with the tomatoes. Peel the onion, cut into half rings. Garlic peel, chop. Ingredients for stew prepared.
Take a saucepan with a thick bottom, heat the vegetable oil in it, fry the lamb pieces until golden brown. Then add onion with garlic, fry for another 7 minutes, stirring constantly, so that the vegetables do not burn.
Add the prepared zucchini, cabbage, potatoes, pre-peeled and cut into large pieces into the pan. Add tomatoes with carrots.Pour in 2 glasses of boiling water, add salt to the contents of the pan, cook for 1.5-2 hours on low heat.
At the end of the stew, add black pepper peas, a few chopped fresh mint leaves. Irish-style lamb stew is almost done, cover the pan with a lid, let the dish stand for a while. After that, place the stew in portions, serve hot. From above you can additionally decorate with a sprig of mint.
